Sean Fraser has been practicing yoga for over a decade and started practicing while he was studying Theatre Performance and Circus Skills at the University of South Florida. Upon finishing his time at USF Sean moved back to Waldorf, MD to start his acting and yoga career. After performing in a few professional shows he began teaching gymnastics and yoga to children with Power Tots. Shortly after starting teaching yoga to children Sean realized yoga was his new passion and wanted to share it with as many people and kids as he could. A kid at heart with a big heart, Sean enjoys creating classes for one and all to start their yoga practice. Along with teaching children, he works with adults and has found a passion to work with those suffering from PTSD and other ‘Invisible disabilities’. Sean’s mission is to take yoga to the people and bring it into schools for kids to learn how to focus, communicate, be healthy, and relieve stress.
Sean began his new yoga path by becoming certified with Karma Kids Yoga in 2008. He has since completed several more Karma Kids to stay up to date on the fun and creative world of Kids Yoga. Sean also enjoys incorporating circus skills and puppetry. Every one of his kids classes includes yoga, breathing and gratitude for themselves and others.
Sean soon after started his adult yoga training and career. He received his 200-hr certification from Flow Yoga Center in Washington, DC in 2011. Upon graduation Sean immediately began teaching yoga to adults in the Southern Maryland and DC Metro area. Thru the years he has created classes and workshops for all bodies and all abilities. Sean is also certified to teach Mindful Yoga Therapy, a yoga and breathing series which helps Veterans and others with PTSD find a calm, steady body/mind and to continue productive peaceful lives via mindful yoga practices.
Sean’s sense of humor and love of yoga come thru in every adult yoga class. Sean believes everybody can do yoga. It’s all about loving the body you have and learning how to move in it. His love of music also helps heighten his yoga classes. In each class you will laugh, smile and move while leaving refreshed, relaxed and a heightened sense of gratitude.
